Each year at its Awards and Installation Dinner, the National School Transportation Association (NSTA) honors individuals who have made noteworthy contributions to the organization and student transportation, and we ask you to take a moment and help make our celebration this summer the best one yet.

As has been tradition, award recipients will be celebrated at the annual Awards and Installation Dinner– sponsored by Thomas Built Buses being held at the 2026 NSTA Annual Meeting & Convention in Denver on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

So, don't delay, submit your nomination today!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Previously, NSTA has extended the nomination deadline, but due to our easier process, this year's hard deadline for all nominations to be received by NSTA is set for Friday, May 1, 2026.

2026 Innovator of the Year Award

The Innovator of the Year Award, presented by School Transportation News and the National School Transportation Association, recognizes an individual who has made significant, tangible contributions to the student transportation industry within the past year as an employee of a school bus contractor company. Innovations, considered under the Award, may include technology, operations, safety, and green energy.

To be eligible, the nominee must represent a private school bus contractor.
